Must be a full time job for someone….. 1 year to plan and 3 years to implement and the cycle recommence.
There is the “attempt to chase perfection (preferrably, according to some consultants, at any price – it’be worth it in the “end” )
It is also a way to keep the company somewhat fresh. Although expensive.
Strange that large-ish organisations can do so, and remain financially viable in the market ….
“End”? What is this “end” of which you speak?
At the last large company I worked for, I used to call it the Semi-Annual Reorganization Festival.
